The new programme for Pennine Spring Music

The Pennine Spring Music Festival for 2008 will run from Sunday 25^th May to Saturday 31^st May.

Programme as at 22^nd January 2008

Sunday 25 May		Young People's Concert Choral Evensong, followed by informal gathering for all Members
Monday 26 May	7.30	An Evening with Opera North Soloists
Tuesday 27 May	7.30	An Evening of World Music
Wednesday 28 May	7.30	Pennine Spring Orchestra and Chorus Baroque concert to include: Bach: Concerto for violin and oboe Vivaldi: Four Seasons Vivaldi: Gloria (excerpts)
Thursday 29 May	7.30	Pennine Spring Chorus. Choral Concert, including: Rossini: Petite Messe Solonelle
Friday 30 May	7.30	Pennine Spring Orchestra Mendelssohn: Piano Concerto in Gm Mozart: 40^th Symphony in Gm Sutton: St. Evange variations
Saturday 31 May	1.00 - 2.00 7.30	Lunchtime Recital Martyn Jackson, violin Beethoven: Sonata no. 1 in D Ysaye: Poeme Elegiaque Saint Saens/Ysaye: Caprice d'apres l'etude en forme de Valse Pennine Spring Orchestra and Chorus Telemann: Trio sonatas (recorder, violin, cello) Trad/Anon: David of the White Rock (voice and Celtic harp) John Dowland and Thomas Campion: songs (voice and harp) Dvorak: piano quintet Hadjidakis, etc: Laiko, Greek folk songs Choral Medley and solo items – songs from the musicals (incl. Calamity Jane, South Pacific) A party for all members and friends will be held after the final performance.

Please note that black tie dress code is required for all gentlemen Members, and all black for the lady Members, when performing.
